FRUIT
Did you know that many of the vegetables and fruits that we sell you could also be grown by you at your home? During the spring we carry a great selection of strawberry plants and blueberry bushes. Fruit trees are available every year around the 1st of April. We carry many types of apple, pie and sweet cherry and peach trees. We purchase extra trees every year of the same fruits we plant so that you can also grow great fruits at home!
VEGETABLES
Start your garden off every year with our great selection of vegetable seeds and plants! We carry a large selection of seed potatoes. Varieties include Red Norland, Red Pontiac, Red Endeavor,Yukon Gold, Russet, and Kennebec. We sell them by the pound or the 50lb bag. Seed potatoes are available in late March.
Onion sets and plants are also available every spring. We carry yellow and white onion sets that are available in late March. We also offer onion plants from Texas; we carry red, white and yellow plants. Our #1 seller is Walla Walla, the Vidalia onion of the north.
Asparagus roots can be purchased every spring in early April. We often sell out early so don't wait too long. We offer for sale Jersey Giant, which is the main variety that we grow. Jersey Giant is a male hybrid. Do you know that there are male and female asparagus plants. The male plants produce larger spears with a higher yield.
Vegetable transplants are an easy way to establish your garden here in Michigan. We carry broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, ten types of sweet & hot peppers, twenty types of tomatoes including Heirloom varieties, eggplant, cucumbers, pickles, watermelon, cantaloupe and zucchini. We start carrying the hardier plants in April and by Mid-May it is safe to plant all vegetables.
BULK VEGETABLE SEEDS
We carry one of the best selections of garden seeds in the area. We offer seeds pre-packaged and bulk seed. Packages seeds include beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, corn, cucumber, gourds, kohlrabi, lettuce, melons, mustard, okra, parsley, parsnips, peas, popcorn, pumpkins, radish, spinach, squash, sunflower, sugar beets, swiss chard and turnips.
